"Some people have luck and fewer have talent. Brooklyn based, Laura Dawson is one of the very few who has both." - p45 featured designer
  • "Based in Brooklyn, New York, Laura Dawson was previously a stylist in the music industry with clients ranging from Peaches to the Scissor Sisters.
  • With this rock 'n' roll influence behind her, Dawson, who also collaborated with As Four, decided to launch her own collection.
  • Showing her quirky sense of humour though twisted tailoring and vintage Atari prints, the collection is simplistic yet clever in its approach to updating everyday basics.
  • Key pieces like cardigans and smock dresses get a work over with added touches of colour and clever pleating.
  • The key colours this season are black and white, muted sepia and grey. Wholesale prices range from $30-$170 and the collection is currently stocked in speciality boutiques in LA and NY." - wgsn project womenswear

Women's Wear Daily, February 8, 2007

"Stars and Infinite Darkness presents a fresh crop of underground clothing, accessories and home decor items every few weeks. (Avant garde womenswear line, Laura Dawson, and Lacey Kalivoda's whimsical vintage-inspired jewelry are two of our favorites.) As if they needed further indie-cred, most of these gorgeous creations are handmade-to-order."
